If I may be so bold to ask You, would You lend Your ear to me…

Oh, Lord, come quickly

You are seeing your life unfold for the first and only time. The suspense is in the waiting. Yet God has seen every twist, interruption, heartbreak, and last minute save. He knows the beginning and end of this story, and the peace is in knowing that no matter what happens, the Hero has already won. Your darkest moments have been redeemed in the overarching shadow of his victory at Calvary — and so when it hurts most, we know the Author has been there, too.

Your faith will not fail while God sustains it; you are not strong enough to fall away while God is resolved to hold you.

1 Corinthians 1:18

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved it is the power of God."

Oh, that you would believe that all of your sins, past, present, and future, were nailed to the cross with Jesus Christ! You feel guilt that creates in you a feeling of unworthiness and dirtiness, a feeling of helplessness. God’s response is, “I’ve canceled the record of debt.” There’s no sacrifice you can lay on his altar. It has already been paid for in full. All of it…past, present, and future.

Every lashing: you are worth it.
Every thorn: you are worth it.
Every scar: you are worth it.
Every nail: you are worth it.
Every insult: you are worth it.
Jesus went to the cross because you are worth it.

We do not follow Jesus to avoid punishment because we know that Jesus already took our punishment on the cross.
